Led by a US Adjunct Professor, The Global Scholars Academy offers three high-impact tracks—Literature, Cinema, and Arts & Music—designed to build Western cultural fluency for ambitious students aiming for top universities.
Each monthly cycle combines expert lectures with rigorous writing and culminates in a structured live debate, ensuring students master critical thinking and the sophisticated vocabulary needed to excel in any academic or social setting.

Literary Masterclass
Our Literary Masterclass is the cornerstone of The Global Scholars Academy, featuring a rigorous curriculum of 12 iconic books—one per month—that define the Western canon. These are the texts that top-tier U.S. college-bound students are expected to have mastered, serving as the essential building blocks for academic writing, critical thinking, and advanced literary analysis at the university level.
Each monthly cycle provides students with a detailed Monthly Lexicon of 15 advanced academic words, which they must then integrate into a 400-word argumentative essay or used in a structured Live Debate.
This “no-AI” approach transforms reading from a passive activity into an intellectual challenge, where students learn to synthesize complex ideas, build persuasive arguments, and speak with authority.
The ultimate benefit goes far beyond the book. Masterclass students don’t just learn about characters; they acquire Western Cultural Fluency, unlocking the context behind the cultural icons of American life. For ambitious students, the ability to quote from, references, or weave these texts into college application essays and interviews is the ultimate differentiator, instantly signaling to university admissions that they are “University-Ready” thinkers.

Cinematic Identity
In today’s interconnected world, being “fluent” in English is about more than just grammar and vocabulary—it is about understanding the cultural DNA of the English-speaking world.
In university lecture halls, business boardrooms, and social circles, people constantly reference “the Forrest Gump moment,” the grit of Hidden Figures, or the moral compass of Remember the Titans. For many international students, these references are a “missing link.” Without this cultural context, they are left on the outside of the conversation
We don’t just watch films; we deconstruct them. Our students dive into the “Why” and “How” of Western cinema:
Modern Mythology: Why are certain scenes in Forrest Gump or The Great Gatsby considered the “shorthand” for the American Dream?
Historical Impact: How did Hidden Figures change the narrative of the Space Race?

To truly understand a culture, you must understand what it finds beautiful, what it dances to, and what it hangs on its walls. Art and Music are not just “hobbies”—they are historical records of human emotion and societal change.
By studying the masters, The Global Scholar helps students recognize the references that appear in modern advertising, political speeches, and high-level social discourse.
When a student in the The Global Scholar can identify a “Renaissance man” or explain why a piece of music feels “Beatlesque,” they are doing more than reciting facts.
We call this developing Aesthetic Intelligence. By mastering the ability to analyze design and historical aesthetics, students gain the edge needed for future careers in architecture, marketing, or technology, where communicating complex ideas with style is essential.
Furthermore, this program builds Cultural Agility and Human Connection. By understanding the stories behind masters like Van Gogh or Mozart, students gain the confidence to navigate global cultural hubs as insiders.

Sports & Society
Ever watched an American football game and wondered, “What is going on?” or, “Why is this so popular in the United States, but still struggling to reach a global audience?” Maybe you already love to watch it, but you just don’t understand the complex rules of the game?
Dramatically improve your English, but also finally understand the great American classic of football.
We will look at all aspects of the game—from the passion of high school games, to the intense rivalries of college football, and the massive global spectacle of the NFL.
In addition to American football, this series will also explore other major international sports, such as Formula 1, Rugby and Cricket, and analyze why they are popular in certain parts of the world. Finally, we will dive into Basketball —another major American export that has successfully localized itself in key global markets, including Asia.
